Peter Strieder's survey of Albrecht Dürer — the paintings, prints, and drawings together in one oversized volume, published in English by Abaris Books of New York in 1982 and printed in Belgium, which is a meaningful detail on a plate book of this period. Belgian presses did some of the best color separation work of the era, and it shows in the reproductions.

The copyright page carries two copyrights — 1981 to the original German publisher for the work itself, and 1982 to Abaris for this English edition — along with the statement "English Translation, First Edition" and a first published date of 1982. Worth stating precisely: this is the first edition of the translation, not the first appearance of the work, which came out in German the year before.
